Two combined heat and power (CHP) units are to provide domestic hot water and space heating to a school district located in North Central New Jersey, in the US, under a deal with Tecogen Inc. The two INV-100 Ultra InVerde units form part of a comprehensive energy savings project for the school district. One of the units is to be installed in a middle school, the other in a high school. They will provide each school with backup power in the event of an outage.
‘School districts and other public entities looking at large-scale energy savings programmes turn to ESCO’s to develop and implement the best energy technology solutions,’ said Robert Panora, President and COO of Tecogen.
