ProInversion, Peru’s investment promotion agency, expects to award the construction and operation of two back-up thermoelectric power plants (TPPs) by mid-December of this year.

According to a report by ADPnews Latin America, the TPPs will have an installed capacity of up to 40 MW and 18 MW, respectively. ProInversion has initially planned to award the projects in October.

“Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios, owned by Spanish construction and services company ACS, and the consortia Energias del Peru and Servicios Integrales de Energia have been shortlisted to compete for the two TPPs,” the report confirmed.
