UK company Jacobs Engineering Group has won a contract from EDF to to provide project management resources to the French company’s eight nuclear plants and two technical centres in Britain. Sizewell nuclear plant

The value of the five-year deal has not been disclosed.

Jacobs will provide a range of project management and engineering resources to support EDF Energy’s programme of maintenance and life extension projects to 15 nuclear reactors across the  Dungeness, Hartlepool, Heysham 1 and 2, Hinkley Point, Hunterston, Sizewell (pictured) and Torness power stations.

Jacobs already provides technical and construction services to EDF for its coal-fired plants at Cottam and West Burton.
