Hyundai Engineering & Construction has awarded a contract to Yokogawa Electric Korea to supply a control system for Uruguay’s first combined cycle power plant (CCPP).

Under the contract, Yokogawa Electric subsidiary will supply a CENTUM VP integrated production control system for monitoring and control of all plant facilities, including the gas turbines, exhaust-heat-recovery boilers, and steam turbines.

In addition, the company will also provide an Exaquantum plant information management system and DPharp EJA/EJX differential pressure/pressure transmitters, as well as operator training services.

Yokogawa Electric will also be responsible for the engineering, installation, and commissioning of the systems.

The plant is expected to start operation in June 2015.
