The FlexiCycle plant will include 13 of Wärtsilä’s 34DF engines, which the company says can operate on multiple fuels including natural gas and liquid fuels.
The firm will undertake the project as part of a consortium with Indonesian construction company PT PP (Persero) Tbk. Under the terms of the contract, the two firms will deliver a full EPC project and will operate and maintain the plant for five years.
“We are happy that PLN chose to work with us and PT PP (Persero) Tbk. We will play a key role in powering the Island of Lombok in an efficient and reliable way,” said Suraj Narayan, sales director at Wärtsilä.à‚
