Skoda Power lands contracts in India, Israel and Turkey

Skoda Power, part of Doosan Power Systems, has announced contracts in India, Israel and Turkey.

Skoda Power will be modernising two 100 MW turbines originally manufactured by BHEL at the Sabarmati power plant in India.

In Israel, the company will supply three turbo-sets ranging from 120 to 140 MW to help convert three gas plants into combined-cycle plants. The plants are at Ramat Hovav near Be’er Sheva, Hagit near Haifa, and Eskhol near Tel Aviv.

Skoda Power also recently completed delivery of 140 MW steam turbines for the Dorad combined-cycle power plant in Israel.

The company’s latest contract in Turkey is for delivering a 320 MW steam turbogenerator set for a 900 MW combined-cycle power plant based on two GE gas turbines in Erzin in the province of Hatay.

Turkey is already a significant market for Skoda Power, where the firm has four projects already underway featuring eight Skoda Power turbines totalling 1270 MW.
