Fantale/ Cogelac Wind Park, a 600 MW project is now operational in Romania.
The CEZ Romania-owned wind park is powered by 240 GE turbines and is the largest onshore wind power project on the planet.
The park will produce enough clean electricity to power over one million Romanian households annually.
Fantale/ Cogelac will significantly increase Romania’s installed wind capacity, which prior to project completion was just 14 MW.
GE Europe renewable energy general manager Stephan Ritter said, “The use of advanced wind turbine technology enables high efficiency and reliability in a wide range of weather conditions. This significantly increases the wind park production capacity.”
