Turbine services company Chromalloy has entered into an agreement with its first industrial gas turbine power generation customer in Thailand for the ‘Tiger’ monitoring and diagnostic system, which provides continuous engine monitoring and evaluation. The new system has been installed at the District Cooling System and Power Plant Co, at the new Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok.

The system enables industrial turbine operators to reduce maintenance costs by providing 24/7 remote monitoring and early troubleshooting and detection to identify unscheduled events – thereby increasing operational time and availability, says the company. It
operates to continuously evaluate the condition of the turbine engines, providing performance and maintenance calculations, along with archiving and graphing data, which enables the analysis of trends and engine events in detail.
