Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems has won an order for control systems for a supercritical coal-fired power plant being built in India.

Chhabra thermal power station is currently under construction by government-operated power company Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam in Rajasthan.

MHPS has won the order from Larsen & Toubro India for control systems for units 5 and 6 of the plant, which will each generate 660 MW and are due online next year. The deal calls for two sets of core components for the turbine control and protection system, the boiler management and protection system, and the station distributed control system.
