GE to supply six mobile power plants to Angola

Angola‘s Ministry of Energy and Water has ordered six mobile power plants from GE for two emergency power installations.

The TM2500+ trailer-mounted aeroderivative gas turbine packages will be supplied by GE’s EPC partner El Sewedy Power for sites in Cazenga and Camama.

El Sewedy Power will develop, build and operate the plants for the first year, then will transfer them to Angola’s state-owned Empresa Pàƒºblica de Produàƒ§àƒ£o de Electricidade (PRODEL).

GE says the plants, which it calls ‘power plants on wheels’, can be installed in two weeks. They can run on liquid and gas fuel and can achieve full power within 10 minutes, the company says. à‚
