German company Ferrostaal has won a contract to expand a gas fired power station in Tarakan, Indonesia.

Ferrostaal will build a new plant with a capacity of 25 MW at the site, which is operated by PT Cahaya Sakti. The work is expected to be completed by 2014.

Company executive Kay Hanns Ewaldsen said: “Our services will be in the areas of project management, engineering and delivery of a new turbine, as well as in construction and commissioning of the plant.”
