The Grati plant will have a total capacity of 501 MW and is owned by Indonesian state-owned power company PT PLN Persero.
The plant is being built by South Korean company Lotte Engineering and Construction. Doosan Skoda Power will supply a steam turbine with a double-body design plus accessories, as well as oversee the commissioning of a generator and provide training for plant staff.
Martin Baxa, head of sales for Asia at Doosan Skoda Power, said that the deal has “opened the door to further business opportunities in South-East Asia which, in view of the planned construction of further power stations, holds promising potential”.
