Brazilian wind turbine assembly plant launched

Acciona Group (BMAD:à‚ ANA) has launched a wind turbine hub assembly plant in the Bahia region of Brazil.

The group’s subsidiary, Acciona Windpower will run the operation, which has the capacity to produce 135 units per annum serving 3 MW AW-3000 wind turbines.

The new plant will be operated through its subsidiary Acciona Windpower and it has the capacity of producing 135 units per annum to serve the 3MW AW-3000 wind turbines.

Energy Business Review states that the facility is expected to create nearly 700 direct and indirect jobs for the region.
