Power equipment manufacturer Alstom has been awarded a contract to provide gas turbine power equipment in the Anbar province of Iraq.
The French firm is to provide the equipment for the Al-Anbar gas-fired combined-cycle power plant.
Alstom will supply four GT26 gas turbines, four heat recovery steam generators, two steam turbines and six air-cooled turbogenerators for the 1642 MW Iraqi plant, due to be commissioned in 2016.
