The power station is operated by Vietnam Electricity and is in Thai Binh province. Commercial operation of the first unit is scheduled for October 2017 while the second is expected in April 2018.
Foster Wheeler will design and supply two 300 MW steam generators and auxiliary equipment for the boiler islands. The boilers will be designed to burn local anthracite coal.
