Jan. 4, 2001—The U.S. Department of Energy has made available on its fossil energy international web site “An Energy Overview of Colombia.”

The 22nd report in DOE’s continuing series of Country Energy Overviews provides some useful information about Colombia’s energy policy, a lengthy description of the energy situation in Colombia (including coal, oil, natural gas, and electric power generation), an environmental summary, plus brief privatization, trade & investment, and economic summaries.

This new overview can be directly accessed from the “Updates” section of the FE International Main Page (https://fe.doe.gov/international/colbover.html).

A permanent link to the overview also exists at the Colombia country page, which can be accessed from the Western Hemisphere regional page, one of the seven regional links from the FE International Main Page.
