The Pocerady coal fired power plant in the Czech Republic is subject to an approximate $831m bid by Czech Coal AS.
The $831 million sum is dependent on whether carbon credits are included or not.
Czech Coal is competing for the Pocerady plant with rival utility Energeticky a Prumyslovy Holding AS, which has also submitted a bid. The deadline for CEZ’s decision is the end of the year.
Czech Coal is interested in the facility because it needs is located next to its Vrsany coal mine.
