B&W to supply a combined heat and power boiler

7 May 2010-- Babcock & Wilcox Vølund A/S, a unit of McDermott International, was awarded a contract worth $70 million to design and supply a waste-to-energy boiler for a 67 MW combined heat and power plant in Sweden.

The customer, Öresundskraft AB, is owned by the Helsingborg municipality. Project scope includes a combustion system, steam boiler, electrical, control and monitoring systems. Engineering is currently underway at B&W's office in Denmark. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2013.
