MAN Turbo expands service reach

MAN Turbo AG's American affiliate has acquired the American service provider Baton Rouge Machine Works Inc (BR), located in Louisiana, USA, and its sister company, Holley Machinery Services Inc, located in Alabama.
BR is a service supplier for turbo machinery. Its portfolio includes the production and servicing of large and heavy components as well as field service. BR services the chemical and petrochemical industries, refineries and the oil and gas industry.
The acquisition of BR serves to strengthen MAN Turbo's regional presence in the American after-sales service market, the company says. It recently acquired the Texas service specialist HB Turbo. 'This latest acquisition highlights our strategic focus, which is clearly concentrated on strengthening our service business', said Klaus Stahlmann, chairman of the of MAN Turbo.
