New on-site wind for Fujifilm in Holland

Evelop, the project development division of Econcern, and Fujifilm Manufacturing Europe B.V. have signed a letter of intent for the development of a corporate wind farm.

Once complete, the wind farm will produce 15 – 24 GWh annually, between 10% - 20% of the energy consumption of the company's production plant on the industrial site Vossenberg in Tilburg, the Netherlands, where the wind farm will be located.

Construction is expected to begin in 2011 and the project will comprise between three and five machines.

Dennis Lange, managing director of Evelop, said: 'Projects like this one are made to meet the specific demands of a company's own sustainable energy policy.'
