Capstone ships first C200 unit

The first C200 production unit from Capstone is being shipped to Integrated Building Technologies (IBT), the company's distributor in Italy for installation in a wastewater treatment facility in Biella, Italy.

The turbine will operate on methane gas generated from the digesters at the facility.

Mark Gilbreth, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer said: 'The second production C200 is scheduled for shipment to UTC Power Corporation for integration with their Carrier double effect absorption chiller.'

Meanwhile, Energyst Cat Rental Power, the European dealer for all power generation and temperature control rental applications, is expanding its standard rental range of power products with a new unit developed to serve the specific needs of the offshore industry.

The Energyst Offshore Power Modules are built in a standard 20 Ft ISO container. A Caterpillar C32, high-speed diesel generator set has been selected to provide the power. Power output is 1250 kVA at 60 Hz. The units are dual frequency.

The offshore power modules are built to NORSOK Z-015 offshore specifications and are suitable for safe zone use on offshore oilrigs.
