SSE acquires CHP Supply

Scottish and Southern Energy plc (SSE) has completed the acquisition of CHP Supply Ltd, which trades as CH Power in the Irish electricity market. Over half the electricity supplied by CH Power is wind generated, while the remainder of the electricity is generated by CHP plants.

Through this acquisition, SSE will gain 3500 electricity supply customers in the Republic of Ireland, mainly in the small and medium sized business market. The acquisition also includes business premises in Portlaoise and Dublin.
