Alstom builds cogen plant for Dubai aluminium producer

Alstom will supply engineering, procurement and construction services, along with an GT13E2 gas turbine with air cooled turbogenerator, a heat recovery steam generator, a distributed control system, the electrical balance of plant and all the interconnection steam pipework for the project.

Clean energy solutions developer Thenergo is to develop a 3.2 MW agri-waste to on-site electricity facility, or 'E-farm', in West Flanders, Belgium. The project will be operational for up to 8,000 hours per year, generating annually 24,000 MWh of clean power.
