ABB Carbon has announced that the 360 MW Karita P800 pressurized fluid bed combustion (PFBC) plant has entered its commissioning phase. It is the world`s first large-scale commercial PFBC plant. Cold commissioning has been completed and the plant`s coal crushers and paste pumps have been tested. Customer acceptance is scheduled for July 2000.
