Doosan Skoda wins Jordan combined-cycle deal

Doosan Skoda Power has won an expansion contract for a combined cycle power plant in Jordan.

The company will supply a turbine set with a 183 MW output for the project at Hussein Thermal Power Station, near capital city Amman.

The plant will have a output of 485 MW following the work, which is being carried out by EPC contractor SEPCO III of China.

A Skoda-designed 135 MW steam turbine is already operating at Al Qatrana combined cycle power plant in Jordan.
