WADE applauds G8’s call for energy efficiency

Existing decentralized energy technology, including high-efficiency CHP, is a proven method to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases in a cost-effective manner, says David Sweet, Executive Director of WADE: ‘The leaders at the G8 Summit recognized what we already knew – that there is incredible potential to increase the efficiency with which we currently use energy.’

The Western European energy market has turned to cogeneration for a long-term solution to increasing oil prices, threats of climatic change and greater dependence on fuel imports, according to a new and up-beat report from Frost & Sullivan: Western Europe Cogeneration Equipment Market, which suggests that the market will touch revenues of $1.4 billion by 2013.
