1 MW fuel cell for California wastewater treatment plant

The ‘Direct FuelCell’ (DFC) plant was sold through the company’s distributor, Alliance Power Inc., a consultant in siting economically and environmentally friendly electric generation facilities. Riverside will own and operate the plant, through its Public Works Department, at the Water Quality Control Plant — and will assume ownership of the unit upon project completion.

Canadian Carmanah Technologies Corporation has been awarded a C$1.4 million contract from Public Works & Government Services Canada (PWGSC) for a 108 kW solar power system to be installed on the roof of the Jean Canfield Building in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The installation will become the largest solar power system in Canada.
