Babcock & Wilcox awarded coal power contract in Colombia

Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group (NYSE: BWC) has landed a contract to design a 180 MW coal fired boiler in Colombia.

Hyundai Engineering awarded the engineering contract to the US-based international power generation company.

B&W PGG president and chief operating officer J Randall Data said "B&W is working closely with Hyundai and the plant owner, Termotasajero S.A. E.S.P, to make this project a success.”

B&W will engineer the boiler, coal pulverizers, air heater, fans and structural steel for Termotasajero Unit 2.

Babcock and Wilcox will exhibit at POWER-GEN Europe in Cologne from 12-14 June.
