Nordex surpasses 1000 MW installed capacity in UK and Ireland

Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has been awarded a contract for the turnkey construction and installation of the “Nutberry” wind farm in Scotland comprising six N90/2500 wind power systems.

The contract is brings the total installed capacity of Nordex turbines with Falck Renewables to 307 MW.

“With Nutberry, our business in the UK and Ireland will soon be achieving a total installed capacity of over 1000 MW in this key market for Nordex.

This testifies once more to the strong market position that we have built up here over the last ten years,” says Chief Customer Officer Lars Bondo Krogsgaard. At the end of 2011, onshore turbines with a total capacity of 4521 MW were installed in these two countries.

The “Nutberry” wind farm will be located in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. Installation work is scheduled to commence soon in 2012.
