México experimenta incremento de inversiones en energía eólica

México multiplicará por más de tres su capacidad para generar energía eólica al pasar de los actuales 569 MW a unos 2.000 MW al cierre de este año, reporta la Agence France Presse citando fuentes del sector.

"Para el 2014 ya se rebasarán los 2.500 MW", dijo Leopoldo Rodríguez, presidente de la Asociación Mexicana de Energía Eólica (AMDEE).

El incremento en inversiones en este sector es relativamente nuevo. En 2008 México apenas aprovechaba el viento para producir 2 MW pero cambios en la legislación favorecieron la inversión privada. Esta industria ha atraido unos 2.000 millones de dólares, dijo Rodríguez en rueda de prensa.
